Best World Cup Commercial: Adidas, The Dream and Messi

Adidas is, arguably, the largest FIFA World Cup sponsor and promoter. They have a contract that extends through 2030. Adidas pays roughly $100 million for this right to sponsorship.

To some extent, the names are synonymous around the globe when it comes to soccer or futbol.

It only makes sense that Adidas is also sharing the best marketing material during World Cup matches. One commercial in particular is catching the eyes of millions. It already has more than 32 million views on YouTube and it showcases the massive number of players and teams under Adidas contract:
  • Teams: Chelsea FC, Bayern Munchen, AC Milan, Real Madrid CF, AFC Ajax, Bayer Leverkusen, FC Basel 1893, FC Kobenhaven, FC Schalke 04 and Olympique de Marseille, Swansea FC,
  • Players: Leo Messi, Xavi, Alves, De Rossi, Bale, Robben, Van Persie, Ozil, Schweinsteiger, Lahm, Alonso, Gerrard, Lampard, Kagawa, Lucas, Torres, Kaka
We've embedded the video below. It's brilliant marketing -- translating speed and greatness through the tones of swift drums rattling behind Kanye's raps, and quick scene transitions of Messi netting goals and players working out non-stop:
