The Employment Ratio Everyone Should Watch And Know About

One of our editors publish a post on LinkedIn about an employment indicator everyone should know about. This employment indicator is a ratio between the total population in the U.S. and the number of people employed in the U.S.. One particular segment stood out above the rest. Here it is:
The percentage of people employed in the U.S. right now is no different than it was at the worst point of the financial crisis. Despite anything the unemployment rate might say, still, only 58% of the population is currently employed. Before the crisis, that number was 63%.
In its simplest form, this ratio shows the percentage of the American population that is holding a full-time job at any given time. The Unemployment Rate, on the other hand, gives a much more complicated picture. It's subject to many nuances like who is in the labor force or who is looking for work beyond a certain timeframe.
